We’re excited to introduce one of our first k6 champions, Krzysztof Widera, and put him in the spotlight. If you’ve ever asked a question in our k6 community Slack channel, you probably would have heard from Krzysztof!
He’s one of our most active contributors there, showing that you don’t have to speak at meetups or conferences to help the community!
Krzysztof is a Performance Engineer and joins us from Poland. Let’s get to know him more!
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I currently work as a Performance Engineer on various projects. I like modern tools but do not mind getting my hands dirty with "manual" work. But when my business tasks are done, I love to relax by playing demanding board games that require heavy thinking.
What made you decide to become a k6 Champion?
It might sound silly, but I like it when my advice makes a breakthrough or solves the issue. That's why my help with the stuff I explore daily is quite natural.
How are you currently helping the k6 community?
I mainly support the community on our k6 Slack Channel with any issues, questions, or concerns that they have. I've also decided to go one step further and become a k6 champion!
What do you love about k6, and what’s your favourite k6 feature?
In my humble opinion, k6 is one of the most flexible tools on the market right now. K6 has many features that help you build complex scenarios, which is perfect for workload modeling, but one of my favourites is k6/execution, a capability that allows you to get information about the current test execution state inside the test script. To me, this opens a whole lot of new possibilities in your performance scripts.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to become a k6 Champion?
If you have the same passion for your work, you can also share it as a k6 Champion. 😊
